(Inter)kulturelle Aspekte Nachhaltiger Ernährung
Master Thesis • Editorial DesignThis is a theoretical documentation of an academic journey, referring to how food effects our environment and how we can reduce our CO2 emissions through considerate ways of ‘tasting’.
In Asia, people prefer eating at round tables, symbolizing the preciousness of gathering together. The unfulfilled circle on the cover symbolizes not only the roundness in asian culinary culture, but also our damaged planet. With the correct way of eating, however, we can fix it.
This master thesis is explored through four aspects: philosophical reflections, the meaning of sustainability, cultural and intercultural characteristics, and the practical example of plant-based lifestyle. These aspects provided a solid scientific foundation for the further design work “永 | Schmeckt Kontiniuum”.
